i'm pretty much like the VC engine 1800cc. After i finished overhauling with Mr. Chevit and we love it very much. The character of the VC engine is a solid torque, incredible power that can accelerate to make a quick boost as you wish. I Mazda engine is all the same, they are good at sprint, not speed.

Your 1000 coupe is very lite, can she handles the power of 1600cc? It's that NA engine? It doesn't much different from VC at all. I used some parts from NA engine as well.

Yeh its 1600cc NA, your VC sound like my NA engine nice torque. The coupe handles the power fine, original 1L engine use to love to rev but no torque. 1600cc is much nice to drive. Yeh from 1500cc UB to MA they are all the same just increased stroke. We got the 1600cc dynoed at 71 rwhp, not bad for stock motor just twin carbys and exhaust.

I have 2 Coupes white and red, white one the engine bay caught on fire, I the carby was leaking fuel. I put it in storage for time being I want to restore it one day. I missed driving it so I bought another one to enjoy till I fix the white one.

If you rebuilt it you can go over 6000 rpm by light weight flywheel, oversize intake&Ex port, and modify camshaft

Good to know. At the moment its stock I dont expect much from it.

Hey mate, sorry I missed this post I thought you were having conversation with prai n, reading it again I see its directed at me.
I knew Giorgetto Giugiaro designed it, I didnt know he was inspired by Chevrolet Corvair, thanx for that I will look into it bit more. I can see alot of similarities.
